Baryn Futa’s Passion for Contemporary Art: From Denver Art Museum to Personal Collection

There is no part of art that is not incredibly interesting—it is the purest form of creativity there is. Art often manifests itself simply as an expression of raw ideas or feelings. It is essential to culture, which is why it is ubiquitous in cultures all over the world. However, the contemporary arts are a source of constant interest to Baryn Futa. Ever since he retired, Baryn Futa has been pursuing his interest in the arts. This is an interest that is particularly focused on contemporary art. Baryn Futa began his journey into the world of arts appreciation by participating in the Denver Art Museum. He is now serving on the Collection Committee for this institution. Baryn Futa continued his journey into more fully understanding the world of art through studying art history, both online and in normal classrooms. By furthering his knowledge of the various types, styles, and artists, he was able to find out what he was interested in collecting and supporting. Baryn Futa visited various museums during his travels, either here in the United States or abroad. He also went on group art trips, visited art fairs, and began his very own art collection. He now loans his own pieces of art out to museums occasionally and supports the arts in many ways.
